A two-year diploma and the quickest recognised route to working in a pharmacy.

None at the institutes we work with, in any of the four states we place into. The Pharmacy Council of India prescribes no entrance exam for D.Pharm either. Colleges outside our network, and some state counselling processes, may still set one, so if you are looking at a college we have not placed into, ask us before you assume.

D.Pharm is a two-year diploma in pharmacy. It is the shortest recognised route to working in a medical store, a hospital pharmacy or a pharmaceutical company, and it is the course most students choose when they want to start earning sooner.
The course is regulated by the Pharmacy Council of India, so the syllabus and the duration are the same wherever you study. Alongside the two academic years you must complete 500 hours of practical training, which the college arranges.
After D.Pharm you can register as a pharmacist and work, or you can join the second year of B.Pharm and finish the degree in three more years.
The two pharmacy routes compared on duration, eligibility and where each one leads, using the rules the Pharmacy Council of India actually sets.
