BPT: Bachelor of Physiotherapy
The five-year physiotherapy degree, and the one paramedical course where NEET has been put back a year.

The four-year degree (specified by UGC as B.MRIT) for the technologists who take the X-rays, CT and MRI scans.

10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from any recognised Indian board, or the National Open School with at least five subjects including English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. You must be 17 by 31 December of the year of admission; there is no upper age limit. You also need a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner and two character references from people other than relatives.
None for the 2026-27 session. NCAHP's curriculum selected candidates on merit obtained in NEET; Corrigendum-1 of 6 May 2026 deleted that clause, and admission now runs on a merit list from your 10+2 marks. An individual university may run its own process, so we confirm the route for the college you are considering.

Radiology and imaging technologists take the X-rays, run the CT and MRI scanners, and produce the images that diagnosis depends on. It is technical, equipment-heavy work, and every hospital with an imaging department needs it.
The name has changed, the course has not. BRIT, B.Sc. Radiography, B.Sc. Radiological Technology: colleges have used all of these. UGC’s degree notification of 27 August 2026 specifies the degree a college awards as B.MRIT, Bachelor of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology.
Two things changed in May 2026, both from the same corrigendum, and most published advice has not caught up. The upper age limit of 30 is gone: the curriculum set it, and Corrigendum-1 of 6 May 2026 removed it, so you need to be 17 by 31 December of the admission year and no more. And NEET is gone too: the curriculum selected on merit obtained in NEET, and the same corrigendum deleted that clause, putting admission on a merit list from your 10+2 marks.
The curriculum states no minimum percentage at 10+2 for the bachelor’s degree, only that you passed with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It does require a physical fitness certificate and two character references from people outside your family, paperwork worth having ready before the application window opens.
