B.Ed. is the teaching qualification you take after a bachelor’s degree. It covers teaching method, educational psychology, assessment and classroom practice, with school teaching practice built in.

It is the standard route into secondary school teaching, and it is a requirement for most state teacher recruitment examinations.

We place students into the two-year B.Ed. taken after graduation. That is the course our colleges run and the one this page describes, not the four-year integrated programme some universities have begun offering alongside it. If you are weighing the two, ask us and we will explain the difference before you apply anywhere.

Reserved-category candidates are usually admitted below the general 50%, but the relaxation is set by the state and changes from year to year. We would rather check the current notification for your state than print a figure here that turns out to be wrong for you.
